I was bored today. Did up a little diorama for your entertainment. This is a small part of my large Eurasian force which consists of a mix of Khurasan and GZG minis. The vehicles were airbrushed with the Vallejo Model Air Modern Russian paint color modulation kit.

The advance elements of a Eurasian motor rifle division advance in central Europe, with BMPs with Red Banner MBTs and Putin I and II heavy tanks in support.

Okay a Putin tank? That's friggen hilarious :-)

Figures look fantastic. I kinda wish you had one or two more zoomed out pictures with more buildings.

darebear06 Dec 2014 6:32 p.m. PST

Thanks. The buildings are from Old Crow. He makes a large and small apartment block. Excellent value for the money. I will take to take some pics of them.

The figs were airbrushed with a green from the Vallejo Model Air UK armor color modulation kit. Extra bits were picked out in various other colors. Then the models were washed in Tudor Mixwax Polyshade. Quite simple actually.

The robots were left bare metal (not primed at all) and washed in black Vallejo wash. This brought out the detail to a high level. I then drybrushed the body a chainmail color with various other bits picked out.

Oh very cool. I had done some experiments with painting robot and power armour types by using washes on the bare metal and you can get some very interesting effects out of it.

I may have to give it another shot.

I should have setup some civilians in front of a Eurasian Union robotic firing squad.

Thanks. Sadly none of my stuff ever sees a table, no local players for 15mm.

Redroom07 Dec 2014 1:12 p.m. PST

nice billboards too

Very nice, have a soft spot for Soviet-styling sci-fi armies!

Was thinking of trying to replicate Copplestones future wars soviet-types in 15mm with WWII plastics. One of many planned but executed armies….

Surely the Putin tank should be toppless….

Great looking collection!

Yes we plan on doing a Putin tank, which will be a red lightning but skydiving whilst riding a horse bareback.

Great stuff! Looks like you also added one of the Griffon's missile packs to your brigade tank in another thread.

But, you can look into it's eyes and see it's soul, right?

I'd have more fun if the tank were Putin, and there was a recovery vehicle called Takeout.

Edit: And, of course, DAMN pretty diorama!
