The army I used at this years SoA sponsored DBA English Open jigged and finished for V3 … Figures are mostly Peter Pig's splendid Vikings with odd pieces from 9 or 10 other manufacturers just to show how well they all mix. Lots more pictures on the Society's Shows North blog … meanwhile here's some spearmen …
… and a camp …
… and I rather like this cross …
(simple but attractive) I've enjoyed this project … Phil |

Nice indeed. The tower in the camp is a nice touch too. |

Darn it Phil, you may have convinced me to rebuild my PFS yet again … 4th time. I really like your take on it. |

Thanks for the comments … The Peter Pig figures are a joy to paint and the range includes some gems … I find inspiration looking at other people's armies – so if this nudges other people it's a welcome favour returned I hope. Hopefully Ammianus will enjoy some tinkering, too Phil Ancients on the Move |

Could you tell us where all the figures for this army came from? |
