Interesting, it is resin. I was wondering if they were going to release this as plastic model. Maybe they will later, like they did for the Balrog.

Pictors you should buy one and have it painted sitting on your table at the HMGS cons for us to drool over.

I'll probably just start bringing the Forge World Fire Dragon that we did years ago that never sold.

It is a beautiful model.

"This product is limited to 1 items per order" Well, that's good, in case someone wants to corner the market.

Because of how they work as elites, heavy support and fast attack you can actually have three of them in an army.

It says they are out of stock now. Was it just a limited run?

Holy Moly that is magnificant!

I would have preferred a plastic kit. The recent ones I've purchased from GW have all fitted together very well, and have fantastic detail work. This model is aimed at the collector, not the gamer. It must weigh 10 pounds!
That said, there are obviously at least 200 LOTR fans to whom money is no object!

Their resin is pretty light, about as light or possibly lighter, than their plastic, so it might not weigh so much.

I will probably buy a plastic kit if they ever put one out.

2.4 kg which is a little over 5 pounds.

Nice dragon. Some of these are pretty nice too:

And at a fraction of the price.

I could go for this one link for just $70. USD

Lion in the Stars07 Dec 2014 8:47 p.m. PST

I dropped $200 USD on the re-issued Confrontation Titan Dragon (MSRP was $300 USD, saw a 33% off sale and pulled the trigger, back when I had money), so I don't think $500 USD is out of line for a model that big.

Frankly, I'd love to get one to paint, but I'd have to sell a kindey and take out a lien on my soul to do business with GW again.
