"Ending weeks of speculation, Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday that, yes, almost everyone you'd heard connected with a Suicide Squad role would actually be in the movie. That means that we'll see Will Smith as Deadshot, Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as the Enchantress, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto as the Joker. You have to admit, that's a kind of crazy cast list.
Why this is super: Didn't we just say that was a crazy cast list? It's hard to imagine what the eventual movie will turn out like with all of those actors on the screen together, but we're looking forward to finding out. Oh, and that's not the only Suicide Squad piece of news this week…"

"The studio's shortlist of actresses being eyed for the role [of Amanda Waller, the major doom behind the Squad itself] includes Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Oprah Winfrey, whom sources say would be WB's first choice for the part."

I'd vote for CCH Pounder. She's already been Amanda's voice in a few animated movies.

Last I checked Deadshot was not black but I guess someone decided he was cooler than Bronze Tiger who was. Pretty sure that Harley and the Joker were never in Suicide Squad. I don't really know who the other celebretards are but usually figure an all star cast means the greater the chance a movie will be a Hollywood stinker. I was never really a superhero comic fan but my brother is. He will go see it anyway and then complain that it was not as good as the comics.

Harley Quinn is in the current Suicide Squad roster.

I'm hoping the Joker isn't in the squad, but is the villain they battle. (ala Assault on Arkham).

I don't have a problem with Will Smith as Deadshot.

Strange that DC can't seem to get anything going Live Action movie wise (except maybe Batman), when the DC animated stuff is generally excellent.

Deadshot is not black.

I really don't care if Deadshot is black or white. I just don't think that Will Smith is a good actor to cast in that role. I think Will Smith is a good actor and have liked many of his movies. Even his super hero movies.

Still he doesn't strike me as an ensemble player and I think, partially because he is such a good actor, that he may steal the show in a team that really didn't have many stand outs.

The latter was part of its appeal. Each person did their thing but none of them were *that* good at it.

I think that Will Smith would make an excellent Deadpool actually. They should switch his role in this with Ryan Reynolds, who would make a good Deadshot.
