According to the FOW finnish painting guide they recommend VMC 866 gray green for the dark gray winter tunics. My question is twofold. First, was there that great of a difference between winter and summer tunics that they were actually two different colors? Second, is that a good color for 28mm?

I thought I saw a topic here on TMP saying the FOW painting guide was incorrect but I cannot relocate that page.

From the pics I have seen, they often had more than one shade of grey going on.

Most in that picture are wearing the Model 1927 tunic which was khaki rather than grey.Summer was a lightish grey, winter a darkish grey actual shade would vary by age,etc
