What colour were they?

Texas Jack03 Dec 2014 3:09 a.m. PST

According to Uniforms of the Napoleonic Wars, they were gold with black stripes. I havenīt checked my Ospreys yet to confirm that though.

I have gold for officers and yellow and black for other ranks.

Texas Jack03 Dec 2014 3:59 a.m. PST

Thatīs probably right. I couldnīt decide from the pictures I saw if they were yellow or gold.

Thanks. Were the stripes along the length or across the width of the cords?

Texas Jack03 Dec 2014 6:45 a.m. PST

They were across the width at an angle, kind of like a candy cane.
