Hi. I've got some of the Firestorm Armada Missionary Frigates that I was thinking of using as Full thrust ships, specifically as pirates or mercenary ships. I think they'd do okay as destroyer sized ships, but I am looking for some ships that are roughly stylistically similar for larger ships (say Light/Heavy Cruiser, maybe a Battlecruiser sized ship). These ships: i389.photobucket.com/albums/oo339/billclodude/Missionary_zpsce739e62.jpg Something in the 2.5" – 2.75" inch range for the Heavy Cruiser would be ideal, maybe 3" for the Battlecruiser. So, anyone have any ideas? I didn't like the Firestorm Armada Terran Alliance's destroyers, which would probably bridge the gap between the Missionary and the much larger Heavy Cruiser. |

What about the new British fleet from Brigade? They have similar spinal ribs as your sample….. link |

Smoltz, those ships are looking like possibilities. Thank you. Never heard of the company before. |

Go check Star Ranger's website. It also has a section on OOP items that you might be able to find for resale that might fit the bill. I can think of one ship, the biggest Noble Armadas Kurgan ship. I don't remember the specific name or class. -ZG |

Anytime. I ordered a few ships from them. The quality is top notch. I haven't painted them yet, so no idea how well they take paint, but the casting is great with no flash at all. |

smoltz, I had a powerful 'where did I see those before' until I noticed the tabs at the top, and remembered I'd picked up someone's Galactic Expanse Kickstarter box. ;->= Not sure what you seek, billclo, but some of these have a similar shape, but the greeble esthetic is completely different, from your piccie. Very subtle, though handsomely so. Requires the casting smoltz rightly lauds. Don't think I'll get anything out of the game itself… Doug |

I've never played the game…watched a few demos online and it seems like it plays quick and easy, might be fun. The whole 'fog of war' thing they've got with it could be entertaining. I just liked some of the minis. I used them to go with one of Ravenstar's TigerClaw carriers from Wing Commander. They matched the aesthetic enough to fit them in as support ships. |

I just remembered that some of the Brigade Models EuroFed line has similar outline as the piccie in example. Crickies, I hate Photobucket! Doug |

I ended up skipping trying to find anything else that matches the ships. I found some other ships to use as larger Pirate ships, and went more for the cool factor than any consistency in designs. |

Well what did you go with? I'm more than curious to see pictures…. |

I know you're happy and all, but did you have a look at the Ad Astra site, particularly the Squadron Strike figs? adastragames.com/products 'bout half way down. Doug |

Some of those ships look decent. I wasn't aware of them, so thank you. Pity the descriptions all say the ships are 1.5 to 2" long, which is pretty useless. Even the small ships say this, so I guess it's a case of cut and pasting the same text over and over again. I'll look them over; some of them might fit the bill for a heavy cruiser or battlecruiser miniature. |
