I'm posting this in sci-fi and fantasy forums as I'm not sure where it would fall…

I don't know how many of you have seen this:

But as it's 15mm I was thinking of re-purposing some of my Space Demon minis to act as a portaball team.

The question is, what race in Bloodbowl do you think the space demons would count as? Is there any race even remotely similar? Dark Elves maybe?

What are your thoughts?

I think Xenomorphs are best represented by unreasoning brute muscle… Orks are a good fit IMO.

Some team overviews.

Orcs sound like a good fit.

You may be right there… I just had the feeling that they would be a more agile team, suppose within the confines of existing races orcs do look a good choice.

Thanks for the responses.

On a side note, has anyone else backed the portaball ks?

I seriously thought about it, but the minis don't do anything for me. I could just as easily make my own teams using existing ranges of 15mm minis, play using the Bloodbowl rules, and make a pretty decent pitch using Hirst Arts tiles or a small grass mat. I don't really see the value of the Kickstarter, I guess.

Out of curiosity, what lines do you think you could easily remove the weapons from? I had thought of maybe the demonworld witch elves before but struggled with other races…

i didn't really even seriously think about it. they completely cheaped out on the poses and imo that's unforgivable when you're going after crowd funding…..

@isdblues:

It's not a project I've put any time into researching, so I really couldn't say, but I know that there is a broad variety of 15mm fantasy stuff out there and something has to fit the bill. Between Black Raven Foundry, 15mm.co.uk, Copplestone Castings, Rebel Minis, etc., I'm sure we could find something!

Hmph. Does anyone else hate it when real life gets in the way of your hobby? Just had to pull out of he KS to get the car fixed. Not a happy bunny. Ah well, will have to catch it the next time around :-(
