A lovely looking army, and with the small scales basing is even more important IMHO. Your basing is spot on. |

It looks great! 6mm is one of those scales that, if done right, can really give you a sense of a massive battle going on over your table top! |

Great work both in painting and your choice of figures A miniature army that actually looks like an army |

Very good brush work. 6mm can be very tricky to paint, and as Toronto48 stated they do look like an army. |

I love the look for 6mm. Hate painting them but love the look. Well done. As an aside, the Triari occupied the same frontage as the Hastati and Principes but were only 3 ranks deep instead of 6 so two units of Triari would be more accurate with less ranks. |

Hi Marcus Brutus thanks for the feed back. The decision to have only one base of Triarii was down to reducing the points cost of the Army and allow me to have some more allies. Though the Legion is painted as one it actually represents two legions in the army list. One with Triarii and one without (being left on guard duty back at camp). I thought about basing them in only two ranks but felt it didn't look as aesthetically pleasing. Maybe one day I will paint up another unit of Triarii so I have all the options. |

Good point. I play 28mm Punic Romans and I rarely use the Triarii because they are just too expensive to field. |

these look fantastic. have never gamed in a scale that small but those must really lend to an authentic battlefield look. |
