When I saw that 4Ground were going to release their great hall of Heorot I couldn't resist buying it. Ok it is not cheap, but I already had a few Viking houses so this would be the perfect focus point of the small village.
As usual 4Ground is very fast at delivering their goods, and I like that very much. The package was very heavy, 10,7kg, but it was just a pleasure to take it home.
It is full of stuff. There is enough fur for making a jacket for my kid! (the fur is for the roof)
So I started building it as soon as I could. I is not so hard, at least if you have done any of their Viking houses before, but I have to work slow and careful, in other case it will easily go wrong.
As you can see (or not) the base plate is upside down. It is no catastrophe, but not good. The house is so big that it is divided into two parts, front and back. This is the front part.
After a few hours I had raised a few walls and started building the stairs at the entrance.
The entrance is done!
A few of my Vikings at the front door. They are from Gripping Beast.
I forgot to take a picture of the finished front part of the building. Instead this is the first picture of the back part of the house.
I will later update with more pictures! And maybe something about Heorot, which is the Great Hall in Beowulf, and real world Great Halls.
