I am still fiddling around with horses so I don't have any infantry or cavalry to show at the moment. But these batteries have now come online. The metal is from Front Rank.

Excellent work Chortle! Great basing as well!
I Agee about horses until I found my technique.
Base color, light wash on haunches and neck with metallic, bronze or copper, then another wash of Walnut brown.
