While I'm on the subject of Minifigs' 12mm scale, Modern offerings, figured I should ask about their West German Infantry pack as well.

Is it just me, or does it appear that they are wearing WWII German Wehrmacht-style helmets, or the modern US Fritz helmets?

Again, perhaps just a trick of the light, or the angle, but I don't think so.

The rifles do look like G-3s at least.

Comments?

I believe you are correct, on both accounts. I would think that G-3 armed West Germans would be in the older style helmet, one that looks like an American helmet from WWII.

Yea, that's why I'm concerned.

Hard to tell in this photo, but the ones that are a bit clearer, on the right, certainly look like they are wearing Wehrmacht helmets to me:

I've looked at buying these myself, several times, but as you have pointed out, the helmet does seem to be incorrect for West Germans armed with G-3s.
