Those are great.

Very nice as always. Will you be doing a Clara figure?

I like the addition of the tags for the sprue connectors. Very good idea.

Those are very cool.

Just a thought, but if you designed some Gingerbread soldiers to oppose them (as in the ballet), there would probably be a lot of non-gamer types who would snap them up (both sides) for holiday decor. Put ‘em on Etsy and they'd probably sell like hotcakes.

I'd love to use my painting skills to do gifts for my family, but none of them are gamers. However, I know my sister-in-law and aunts would flip if I gave them hand painted "opposing forces" to add to their Christmas displays.

Very cool Thms.
I may get them to be Gen of my Nappie forces.

Now that's just silly! :)

Mssr. Le Enfant, I love the idea of gingerbread men, but in the many nutcracker ballets I've attended it has been the toy soldiers that battled the rat/ mouse king. Luckily, I have entire armies of Wooden soldiers ready for the task! (and so can you!) Here's an example of my French style.

Black Cavalier- no plan on making a Clara yet, but love the idea.

Clif- The Rat king would make a fine emperor!

Cheers

I was with a ballerina for a while and she drilled it into my head that it's supposed to be gingerbread soldiers. Not that I'm overly fussy, and you make a good point; I think most people see productions with toy soldiers. Those French would be perfect, I think. With a Nutcracker Prince to lead them?

And a Clara model would make it ideal for a display.

BTW, I was looking around the webstore for a "tips on how to paint these" and couldn't find anything. I've only ever painted 3D figures (plastic or metal) so I'm a little unsure about paints for these as well as how to get the cool saving effects. I'm probably not alone in this.

Enfant- great point- really they paint very similarly to regular miniatures. I do have a couple of short painting tutorials on my blog found here:

Basically I use my standard minis paints to paint them- just watered down a bit more than I would with a metal mini.
My children and some customers only use felt pens, I've had one customer that did a fantastic job with colored pencils.

More Tutorials are on my slate for the new year!

Regards,
Thomas

And remember- these are for sale up on my Webstore!
