I can't figure out what one of the poses is supposed to be doing.

In the Continental box options C3 and G3 have the left hand holding the musket pointed up, while the designated right arm is almost straight. There is a similar pose in the militia box. Anyone know what this pose is supposed to be. My best guess is that the right hand is supposed to be reaching into the cartridge box, but I haven't seen this figure assembled and don't know for sure.

Is it the guy ramming a round into the musket?

The WF pics show that pose for the Continentals. I assume they didn't model a ramrod.

This is not the figure with the ramrod which is figure D in the Continental set. The left arm is positioned similarly to the figure with the ramrod. The right is at maybe a 15-20 degree angle.

The C and G figures also can be used for cocking their muskets (C2) and biting cartridges (C1), which are the ones illustrated. I haven't found pictures of C3 and G3 though.

Let me check this evening and I'll post a picture of mine

Bill, is it the loaded ready to fire pose? Musket is held upright and right arm comes over and is on the lock. This position would indicate to the company officer that you are loaded and ready to fire.

Thomas-I think that is the B figures in the Continental set.

I would need to look tonight also to see what figure it is and what it is supposed to be doing.

Royal Air Force01 Dec 2014 1:13 p.m. PST

I believe it may be the 'load with cartridge' position, with the musket held on the left side and the right hand dumping the powder and ball into the muzzle. Will confirm later.

Here's some images – not the best, but should give you the idea

I'd like to thank everyone for their suggestions. After playing with it a little last night I think RAF may be right. I did email the manufacturer as well, and if they have a different response I will post it.

Hmm, I never would have thought of doing that pose. Thanks RAF.

Royal Air Force02 Dec 2014 3:16 p.m. PST

No problem, the one pose I found odd was the light infantry carrying his musket at the trail, but in his left hand (should be in his right). As an AWI reenactor I can get a little anal about things like that, as well as the over-abundance of pistols on the command sprue. I'd rather have seen more halberds and spontoons.

Bill N02 Dec 2014 5:41 p.m. PST

I agree on the pistols, and have cut them.off, or scrounged empty hands. One issue I've noticed is why in a set that is almost entire firing line are so many commanders walking?

Bill N03 Dec 2014 5:38 p.m. PST

The people from WF responded and confirmed what RAF suggested.
