Here are some home movie clips of me 60 years ago with the old Marx Planet Patrol play-set figures and the fort and rockets. And here are some of the re-found figures with a few added figures converted in vintage film clip style photos.. Literally a blast from the past

Wonderful pictures, and that is one happy boy! I love the artwork as well. Geez, those were the days!

Thank for the memories! That was one of the first play sets I received. Some of those figures hung around in my toy box for years and years.

I'll bet that play set is worth a fortune right now.

To me it is priceless.

WOW! *FOUR* cars. There was only one in each set! I think I can see at least three space cannons too! Again, there was only one per set. Did you have four sets, or are you adding to your collection now?

I have a complete Marx Tom Corbett Space Academy in my collection. I love it! BTW, i've been thinking about using my Marx Jungle playset for Pulp Alley. By using Tom Corbett/Space Patrol aliens and spacemen together with parts of my Jungle set, Marx Japanese and German soldiers, Marx polar explorers and animals, and Marx dinosaurs there are many possible combinations for Pulp Era adventure scenarios. How about Marx Cowboys and Aliens? I can probably fit in my Marx Untouchables set gangsters and cars too!

Remember that "Twilight Zone" episode "The 7th Is Made Up of Phantoms" where a National Guard tank and crew enter a time warp to Custer's Last Stand? There's a cool scenario using Marx Soldiers and Indians for ya!

I had a single set which dissipated over the years…Some many years later I found a fellow who had a bunch of "odds" and ends from a bunch of these sets and I saw the value in getting several cars for a one-of-a-kind super set albeit they didn't have the plastic dome. Enter modern day nitch fillers…some stalwart soul started redoing the car dome and the helmets indistinguishable from the originals so I acquired those and I was set --- literally. The original dome was lost as were the wonderful little helments so this was a wonderful way to augment the set and bring it up to specs so everyone had a helmet ~

Did I see Lawrence Fechtenberger, Interstellar Officer Candidate, in the background?
And the guy sneering – it had to be Mug Mellish.

Bob and Ray fan? Back in the early 70's I got home from work just in time for "Mary Backstage, Noble Wife". They were doing "drive" time radio on WOR if I remember correctly.
