I've added some pictures of my French Napoleonic Fleet to my blog.
A 74 gun 3rd rate and a 112 gun 1st rate Ship of the Line.
The entire "Fleet" of 12 vessels. Many more pictures on my blog at: link Peter |

Very nice. You should post these on the Napoleonic Naval Discusion board so more of us Naval gamers can see your work. I know I don't normally check the general gallery for ships. Others may not either. The Napoleonic Naval Painting board is another good place to post them, and see other folk's ships. |

Thanks; I wasn't sure about posting them to a Discussion board rather then a Gallery. I have more to come from other fleets, so I'll keep that in mind for the next time. |

Peter, Nicely done!! I do miss Naval gaming as I haven't played one in 15 years. I sold off all my 1/1200 ships, as I never got a chance to paint them. But I do have quite a few of the old MiniFig 15mm Brigs, Frigates, and a quite, not completed scratch build British 74, all for War of 1812 on the high seas. John |

Thanks! Sounds like a Naval landing would make a great 1812 scenario, John! |

Peter, Thought about it, but decided against it. Wrote my own rules and had fun play testing them. Best game was the USS Constitution against the 74 gun HMS Superb which fought to a standstill. The Captain of Superb made one critical mistake which allowed the Constitution a bow rake which brought down Superb's foremast and then because of this also allowed the Constitution a stern rake a little later. Constitution had to flee at that point as 2 British frigates started to close on her in support of Superb. Interesting is the fact that the Superb had 28 – 32lb and 30-18lbs 16- 9lbs against the Constitutions 20- 32 lb. carronades 30 -24 lb. made the difference in weight of broadside fairly close. 790lbs vs 680 lbs. |

Well done. It is quite a job to put together just one of these. |
