Britannia, Irregular, Early War Miniatures?
13/18pdrs, 77mms -that sort of thing.
I don't want many so it would nice to have the best models.
I must admit I don't understand the Irregular Miniatures Really Useful gun range -15/20mmm -how does that work?
I do have a nice 77mm from them which is clearly a 20mm model -anyone have any thoughts on this!!!?
This one from Lancer looks interesting

Frankly, if you want masses of field guns in 20mm you are best off going with plastic. The HaT ones come in boxes of four, although I have quite a few Emhar ones too.

The Irregular RUGs I tend to use for medium and heavy artillery.

Agree with Martin about the Hat guns.

The RUGs are slight large 15mm/slightly small 20mm. I use them with my 15mm figures.

I keep meaning to properly measure one up some time, but I think the Irregular ones are about 1/80 or so – closer to 20mm than 15mm, but in between the two. They're cheap and cheerful though. The Hat guns are generally nice – I have a bunch of their Krupps and like 'em.

For something a bit different, IT miniatures (Produced by Front Line now) have some nice pieces including a couple of great heavier guns – their German 21cm howitzer is mighty fine (it's actually a little overscale, but just looks all the more intimidating for it….)

That said, there are an absolute ton of kit reviews for WWI artillery here – have a browse…. :-)

My artillery is a mix of Britannia, Lancer and Early war miniatures. The EWM French and British guns are very good and well detailed kits plus the crews are excellent, coming in early or late war uniforms and good action poses. They also do piles of shell cases, stacks of ammunition and other extras to make the wargames base into a mini diorama. The French 75 comes with a caisson as well. Brittania do great early war German and British limbers, good chunky well posed models.

I've just ordered the EWM 18pdr -it does look good -especially with the crew with the all important sitting poses.
I had a look at the Britannia guns today at Reveille and while I love the Britannia infantry figure I think the guns are rather crude.

Don't forget IT Miniatures from Frontline Wargaming!
