I am pleased to announce that the 1st Staines DBA Massive will be held on Sunday 12th April at our usual club venue in Englefield Green. It is our intention that this event will be part of the The Society Of Ancients UK DBA League Starting at 10AM it will be a day long comp with 5 rounds (plus a lunch break) played using a Swiss-chess system. Scoring on the day will be determined using the same system as used at the PAWS DBA events, but there will not be a semi-final/final at the end. The comp will be under V3 rules and while the theme is still being discussed it will be announced at least 3 months before the competition date. Please note that this will be in addition to the HoTT Massive later in the year. I expect to have flyers to hand out next Saturday at the December PAWS.
