"The SSW D.III is a significant choice for Eduard, with their first 1:48 kit also being the SSW D.III, back in the 1990s. Please don't confuse this new release with anything in that old box. There is nothing you see here which is in any way common with the old kit. Eduard has essentially decided to re-tool a machine they very much like, in conjunction with the Centenary of the outbreak of WW1. Unlike the original kit which needed a PE-fest to otherwise improve its old-school technology, this kit is created using the very latest in technology, from the latest in computer technology, to the very way the tools are produced. We all know, or course, that Eduard like to supply a few extras of their own, and they have also sent us their machine gun and engine set for this, from the Brassin range. We'll also take a quick peek at that too…"
