I participated in 1990. It was freezing. I was an union artillery private in Taylor's battery "B". Good times! |

I was there for one, the 135th, I think. LOTS of cavalry which is something you don't see than much of here in the east. |

I was there for the 140th and 145th. Yes, it's a big event, so you see the some good units and some you'd sooner forget. Still one that I ended up p/o'ed at the 140th. The scripted called us to have our gun line over run buy the Rebs, but they were to advance, suffer fire and fall back, then some more shots and then take the guns. Well we fired one and they just get coming, the script. Grate drive 900 miles and fire ONCE. 2nd day, we were just firing for sound effects away from the battle. Most of the battles I've done are western, we tend to get the cavalry. |

Well, geez, lads, give me a heads up when you're gonna be in town. Alas, I was working, so I could not attend. Instead, I set up a Battle Cry scenario in the Teen Room at the main library (located almost in the center of the Confederate line, by the way, smack dab on Columbia Pike, just two blocks south of the Carter House). I taught one kid how to play; I suspect his mother's gonna try and find the game for the holidays. |
