I guess to me it looks ugly because it doesn't seem to fit in with the Star Wars theme. Or is it because it is just an ugly ship. It is supposed to be a ship, right? Not some some satellite or something? |

Reminds me of some of the concepts from the old, Renegade Legion universe. Can't recall exactly what it looked like, but I do recall the "Fluttering Petal" name, for one of their spacefighters, which is what this craft reminds me of. Another one would be "Fallen Leaf", which is my own name. |

It's one of the ships from "shadows of the Empire" – that experiment in cross-platform marketing that proved to lucasfilm that SW was not dead and buried back in the 90s. I never played the game that featured it, and whilst it doesn't reflect the aesthetics of the rebels, the old republic, the new republic or the Empire, I don't think it's meant to. It's one of those designs used by one of the fringe groups. It's still not a pretty ship, though. I tried reading SotE, but it was like really bad fanfic crossed with a bad bodice ripper. |

It was announced a couple months ago around Gencon time, but this is the first close up look at it. It is the personal ship of Price Xizor, the head of the Black Sun Syndicate, a criminal organization. |

Apparently I wasn't wrong Armand. |

Isn't this ship referred to as a "Virago"? |
Tango01 | 27 Nov 2014 11:21 p.m. PST |
I understand that it was announced before here in TMP my friend. Amialement Armand |

Yes, the name of Prince Xizor's ship is the Virago, but that isn't it's model name. Star-Viper is the model name. Prince Xizor's is the prototype that others were modeled from. |
