Since attention spans are always short in the day before Thanksgiving, I set up a Napoleonic diorama for my World History I students. Time to bring their study of Napoleon into the Third Dimension! link

Definitely a day they'll talk about at class reunions! You should follow through with a Skirmish Snap Quiz and a Trafalgar final. |

Let's get this right. To celebrate your Thanksgiving, a French column is coming on in the grand old style, without a skirmisher screen, against a "British" unit, on a hill, in line. At least the turkeys have some chance. (I heard about Obama pardoning one turkey, I recall) How many of these lads have any hope of a visit from Santa next month? St Peter in the next 60 seconds might be nearer the mark…… Seriously though, well done. Brilliant. Proper history by an enthusiastic teacher. My two lads at at Uni listening to lecturers repeat the same history lectures they have done for years (and costing me £9.00 GBPK per year each just for "tuition") |

There are some configured screening the column, slightly obscured by the tricolor. Sadly, Lt. Sharpe will make short work of them as I teach Real History. |

Mark; Let me know if you need a Live Action person. I'm doing AWI, War of 1812, ACW, and now WW2… Eric |

I moved my military history elective to the spring semester. Attention spans for 12th graders are short then, so after some introductory readings (Sun Tzu, Keegan, Clausewitz, and Marlantes), I'm going to structure the course as follows: watch a movie set in wartime; read enough history to write a critique of the movie; then game the period… "The Patriot" is on the list, so we'll be in touch… |
