Hello, gents. First time in this section, first time thinking about zombies. It's all Wargames Factory's fault, I bought their zombies and survivors because they're lovely kits and now I want to actually use them. Are there any good rules out there for 28mm zombie gaming? I would prefer something more akin to miniature wargames than board games. I watched video reviews of Zombiecide, Last Night on Earth and Student Bodies and I hated all of them. In part for the gamey, abstracted rules, in part because 3D minis on a flat game board look like ass. I'm okay with co-op vs the board, players vs overlord or 1 player vs 1 player. Much obliged. |

I'm partial to All Things Zombie myself and have a number of battle reports and other articles on my blog: link For the master of All Things Zombie, you might take a look at Vampifan's blog: link You'll find more details on this and many other sets of rules at the Board of the Living Lead: link Hugh |

I second ATZ. You can play competitively, co-operatively or solo. It also has a painless campaign system that allows RPG elements or to be used as a standalone tactical game. It's fun to play as well! |

akulasrules.blogspot.com Try these…the zombie ones. The zombie horde is that unkillable zombie mass, I'd make it move randomly faster than 3" if it is not within 3" of a player. Have fun. |

Our go to zombie game are Ambush Z by Ambush Alley or 7ombie TV by Crooked Dice. Both give good games. |

I agree with sillypoint. The link leads to a good set of rules to start with. |

Yet another vote for All Things Zombie. Especially if you are playing solo as all THW games are set up to be played solo. They can, however, be played head-to-head. |

Another vote for the AKULA zombie rules. Very fun, easy to play, free, can be played solo. |

But if you do come across the rules for a boardgame you like, remember you can always build 3D terrain to replace the boards and make it look spectacular! |

I also recommend All Things Zombie; it's satisfied my zombie miniature gaming needs for several years. As well as the features stated above, the expansion rules add lots of options for zombie types, NPC interaction & campaign guidance. |

I am also a fan of ATZ. If you want a set of rules that you can use for other games try Crooked Dice 7-TV along with the ZombieTV supplement. |

I think AKULA rules are easier and I would go with 28mm and cheap plastic O scale buildings off ebay and 1/48 scale cars and trucks from CVS Pharmacy. |

ATZ! Colgar6 & Vampifan's ATZ game reports are really great inspiration for zombie games, even if you dont use ATZ for the rules. |

With ATZ and the supplements you'll be gaming in a detailed, unpredictable zombie apocalypse universe. ATZ is also great for solo play. The stories write themselves. |
