Comments or corrections?

Yes, several of the editors are out of action at the moment, but when they are back in action, what would you like to see them tackle next?

For example, Claire and Julia recently completed a full update of our Manufacturers Directory.

Do you have any particular projects or areas of the website you would like to see them dig into? Or any other suggestions for what they should be doing next for TMP?

Rebelyell200624 Nov 2014 6:36 p.m. PST

How about a brick-and-mortar retail directory? Or an online retail directory?

I really wish there was a board filter for forum searches. That would make things much easier, and seems life a quicker fix than a lot of other things. But what do I know? grin

Buckeye AKA Darryl24 Nov 2014 7:21 p.m. PST

Would love to see the old Miniatures Directory updated.

A "Sent Message" file in the Lounge.

The ability to edit screwed up and typoed up titles.

LordNth24 Nov 2014 7:51 p.m. PST

A way to delete PMs without having to go into each one to do so.

mpanko24 Nov 2014 7:53 p.m. PST

how about something really ambitious like a archive of figure comparisons from different manufacturers. Seems to be one of the most consistently asked for things on this site.

nsolomon9924 Nov 2014 8:05 p.m. PST

A way to edit Titles of threads – so many get screwed up a bit and there's currently no way to edit them.

A directory of Wargaming Clubs – globally – maybe? Lot of work, but well worthwhile.

sneakgun24 Nov 2014 8:26 p.m. PST

A way to erase your old posts.

WarWizard24 Nov 2014 8:49 p.m. PST

Is there an Events Calendar already? Something that lists all conventions, toy soldier show, etc., in the US?

title corrections ability would be nice.

A method of pming the lesser members allowing them to respond to messages sent to them.
(they should still be unable to generate a pm, though)

That is how it works for locked accounts, so perhaps that same mechanism can be applied.

as stated earlier in a thread, a manufacturers sale board.

David Manley25 Nov 2014 12:01 a.m. PST

Something that avoided or minimised the "down for maintenance" time would be good

NWMike25 Nov 2014 12:29 a.m. PST

An on-line retailers directory would be useful.

Tango India Mike25 Nov 2014 3:38 a.m. PST

An ability to close your account

BrotherSevej25 Nov 2014 3:52 a.m. PST

A magic search box. You enter scale, genre/faction, and bam:manufacturers. The system needs to be done by you Bill, but that could be a boatload of data that need tidying that can be done by the Editors.

GarrisonMiniatures25 Nov 2014 5:32 a.m. PST

That last search could possibly work by introducing tags to the system a la blogger.

alien BLOODY HELL surfer25 Nov 2014 5:54 a.m. PST

how about you teach them what needs to be done daily – not look to alter anything or change/add features so you can finish/start work on TMP 4.0 – as I believe that is what the aim of the editors is – to allow you time away from day to day handling of the site to be able to get TMP 4.0 up and running? grin

deephorse25 Nov 2014 6:14 a.m. PST

Pretty much what he said. Have them do what you hired them to do in the first place. Then you can get on with 4.0.

deephorse25 Nov 2014 6:31 a.m. PST

Oh and how about this? When a rule is broken and you complain, get someone to reply to us stating why The Editors are doing nothing about it. If they support the complaint a reply is generally forthcoming, but not the other way round.

Oh Bugger25 Nov 2014 7:09 a.m. PST

How about a response to this thread.

Agree with Buckeye AKA Darryl.

I agree with the ability to edit post titles.

Increase the time you can edit posts to more than 1 hour?

I am happy right now though!
