I was in the mood to do some Autumn foliage games and decided to do a Foraging scenario for AWI.
Basic premise is that the Rebels and Crown forces are busily gathering up all they can before winter arrives in the New York colony.
The Crown units consisted of jaegers and Loyalist greencoats while the Rebels were some more numerous militia types.
15mm miniatures using the TFL Sharp Practice rules.

A very stunning defeat for the Rebels-not in terms of casualties or battle action but in their total failure as foragers.

Beautiful. What rules did you formulate for the foraging?

I can feel the chill wind just *looking* at that terrain. Well done.

If you replace those Fall trees with scrubby green ones, that could also be California, Mediterranean Europe or North Africa in late summer before the rains come.

How did you get that grass color?

Locks like carpet with spray paint highlights, maybe using Testor military colors or something else. Whatever, it looks great.

The brown grass is textured fabric sprayed in appropriate dry looking colors. I use the cheapest spray paint I can find.
This scenario came from the TFL Terrible Swift Sword ACW supplement(as mentioned in the captions)for Sharp Practice.
Thanks for the comments.

Holy crap! That first shot looks just like home here in Upstate NY. Seriously nice job on the table.

Mark,

I've said it on other fora, but see no reason not to say it here, too: your games are always an inspiration.

Foraging operations is a much underplayed scenario considering the frequency is actual operations.
