Hi all. Luis Garcia Balaguer, form Valencia, has kindly sent me these pictures of his Plancenoit vignette. It looks like he has used Oniria Miniatures and Perry figures. I think he has done a really great work. Hope you like it too. Saludetes

Inspirational!! I've got the Oniria Grenadiers of the Guard figures as well but have never used them as I wasn't sure if they were too tall. I've definitely been proven wrong as the Perry Prussians are not very tall! Must get on and paint my Oniria Guardsmen although they won't look as good as these! Cheers, Paul |

I love the colours used. The blues, especially, are highlighted in grey rather than lighter blue. It is like the artwork on the Victrix adverts for Imperial Guard figures. The effect is duller, but so realistic. Something I have wanted to try for ages! |

Very nice. The lighting is inspired. Very convincing and real looking. |

Humbling. Seriously. The second pics are actually better. The interior shots remind me of Saving Private Ryan (and nothing wrong with that!) I'd expect an expert to make a good job of the Oniria Guard figures, as we have seen them to an incredible standard before. For me, the falling officer from Perry is the "marker" for talent. Mind you, I'll bet there was not one eagle within a half mile of Plancenoit. Those those things became so precious that one would never have been seen in anything like FIBU, (Fighting in a Built up Area) let alone two of them. But they look great, so who cares? Hard to imagine that quiet little village now………. |
