I added a short post to my blog about using wide dental floss as material to make chariot traces:
The raw material – minty fresh!
Coloring with acrylic craft paint
Colored traces (will need some additional touch up after they are glued in place).
Finished product Others have used fly ties for fishing for similar purposes.

Thanks! They have a different style than modern figures, but it is an attractive one none the less, at least IMHO. |

I never thought Minifigs were works of art, but I thought they were workmanlike wargame figures. I also preferred the "telephone pole" spears and javelins to the later, thinner designs. They all, over time, droop from both sides of the hand that holds them. |

Look for the unwaxed floss to minimize fighting with adherence problems. Also separate fibers a bit and stain for use as horse blanket fringe or any fiber decoration. |
