The link on my blog has a quick overview video showing where I'm at on my 15mm fantasy castle project. I've also been painting large quantities of fantasy troops and hope to have a massive siege battle at some point.

Sounds like an interesting project, well timed, with the adverse weather and all, so fitting for the period.

Sadly, I can't view your last pic for some reason, but can see all the others. The work you've done thus far looks amazing!

I especially like the hoarding, and the roughened wall texturing, because both look very realistic.

Is the hoarding a printed paper detail you created?

What did you use to scribe the lines in the foam, for the blocks?

A mechanical pencil, like around the doorway, or something else?

Your work makes me want to try to do something similar, since I've got a bit of unused foam just sitting around.

Thanks for sharing your project, and photos.

Yes, the hoarding is a kitbash of a paper kit. It's a long house (Dave Graffam models) cut in half with some of the boards cut out for archery.
I scribe the lines using a small embosser made for sculpting clay -- it has a little metal ball on the end, but you can also use a ball point pen, or anything else handy that creates the size you are looking for. If the item is too small, it tends to tear the foam rather than embossing it. I bought a set of them off of Amazon that had various sizes in it.
