Hi folks. Anybody out there able to point me towards a chart for converting Figure Scales? That is, if 28mm equals 1/56th scale, what does 20mm equal?
Thanx as always.

You have raised one of the great philosophical questions of our age!!!! What, indeed does "20 mm" equal. Judging by the models I have, anything between 1/65 to 1/80. " 20mm" WW2 figures appear to vary in height from 21mm to about 26mm.

With scale creep the waters are certainly muddy, but in this wiki article is a handy chart with the theoretical conversions. YMMV

Just scroll down to "scale":

what does 20mm equal

1/76 or 1/87 depending on whether you go with the UK 4mm=1ft scale or the US/European 3.5mm=1ft

Originally, 20mm = 1/76; these days, 1/72 is more common. That's in the USA.

MajorB: That's just what I was looking for. Thanx.

It depends on whether you mean X mm feet-to-top-of-head or X mm feet-to-eyes.

For the former, the scale should be straightforward.

For the latter, however, you'd need to adjust for the eyes-to-top-of-head distance, since scale models are not based on any feet-to-eyes measure…

PrivateSnafu: Great chart, thank you.
By the way, I love those old training films you starred in!
