A "brilliant" reporter (and I use that term in the most loose and sarcastic way possible), seems to suggest that Russia could win WWIII, since the US is outnumbered in tactical nuclear weapons (OMG, we have a tactical nukes gap!).

Perhaps Michelle Jones should do a little more research on the US plans for nuclear war (SIOP plans), and what tactical nukes are.
Given historical plans for WWIII in Central Europe, the US made little differentiation between the use of tactical nukes and strategic ones by the enemy, if any.
With 300 tactical ones, I guess that means that we can only put 3 – 6 of them on each major Russian city, at up to 340 Kt. each, if needed/desired. of course, we'd probably be more likely to respond with strategic nukes than tacs, if the balloon really goes up, so I'm not very clear on the main thrust of her article.
Using her line of thinking, we also have a turbo-prop bomber gap too, since the Russians are still using Bear bombers for long-range patrols, and strategic nuclear attack exercises.
I do agree we need to upgrade our nuclear forces, and weaponry. However, a perceived shortage of tactical nukes by the USA doesn't lead to Russia's ability to win WWIII.
Anyway, I found the whole article, and conclusions rather humorous, and hope you do as well.
