"Russian company Splav Tula started delivery of newest S-80FP aircraft rocket system to the Russian Air Force, announced Wednesday, November 19, Nikolai Makarovets, general manager of the research group and production Splav Tula, designer of the weapon.
"The engine of the S-80FP rocket is smaller than that of the non-S-80 guided missile, its warhead is 50% larger. This makes the rocket 5 to 10 times more efficient (…). This gear is already delivered to the army, " M.Makarovets said. According to the director, S-80FP 80 mm rocket "is one of the best of its kind in the world, it dramatically increases the efficiency of an airplane or helicopter and reduces the number of combat sorties." …
