I have three historical armies with fantasy elements added in for Mighty Armies… 30 yrs war Scots highlanders with a bog monster behemoth. 30 yrs war Renaissance Pike with a steam tank. Ottomans with a Roc and a whirlwind elemental… After the new year I will start on my actual fantasy armies, Amazons, Orcs, Cavern Dwarves, Hill Dwarves, Elves, and I want to grab three or four more from 15mm.co.uk, Splintered Light and Rebel Minis. |

I tend to think of my fantasy figures in terms of tribes rather than armies and put a number of tribes together to form armies. I'd have to give it some thought before answering that question. x42 |

In the spirit of co-operation … Fantasy proper does not register on my spectrum of the wargame* (but if you want to do it, that's your choice and you are entitled to use it as you wish)… I do have 3 HOTT armies based on classical myths and legends (around a Jason and the Argonauts theme) and will confess there is a touch of Harryhausen about them. Being mythological, I don't really count them as fantasy, but I suspect, for the purposes of this question, they are … Phil * which is about history and warfare and the art of war, not imaginary dice battle between fantasy creations … |

I have a high elf army (probably 20-30 units), an orc army (20-25 units), a goblin army (probably 20 units), a castle garrison (25 units), and a lot of historical humans that I use for fantasy --- probably 30-40 units broken into various factions like barbarians, evil men, various retinues etc. Next up: Undead and possibly lizardmen. |
DinOfBattle2 | 21 Nov 2014 9:21 a.m. PST |
