General de Brigade Scenarios are an excellent source, I think

Alter of Freedom is an ACW divisional game i.e. players are Corps commanders. There are currently two scenario books. There are also some free download scenarios at link

Sorry, when I mean division level, I mean where the highest level of command is the division. Altar of Freedom is in that sense an army level game.

The Last Square used to publish a series of booklets featuring scenarios that size. Not sure who has the copyright to them now…I have a set and they are excellent. Shot & Shell was the series name I think.

Thanks for the plug boy wundyr!

Also, my upcoming book on the Atlanta Campaign will feature plenty of what you would call divisional level scenarios. Most have 1-2 divisions per side of varying strength.

It will be out in January, so I don't have a link to sell the product yet.

John Hill's new ruleset- "Across a Deadly Field" is structured so that each player should control a Division.

Potomac Publications has a number of scenario books where the maneuver element is a regiment. The games range in size from a brigade per side to one, two, or even three divisions.

The orders of battle are system-generic, and list the number of combat troops per formation.

Here's a link to their page on Wargamevault:

I did a quick review of one of the smallest scenarios from Rebel Yell, Yankee Hurrah on my blog: link

Hi KTravlos. There are two Regimental Fire & Fury scenario books that have divisional size actions in them. Volume I: 1861-1862 has 16 scenarios. The just released Volume II: 1862-1863 has 13 scenarios. In addition, there are three expansion scenarios for the Volume II Fort Donelson, McDowell and Mechanicsville scenarios that are free to download on the Fire & Fury website at: fireandfury.com Purchase information is also available on the website. Best, Lowell

If you don't mind a trip up the Khyber, pretty much every action mentioned in Churchill's History of the Malakand Field Force was divisional or thereabouts, with a rare few smaller (sending companies to do a battalion's job, for example), and not more than 2 or 3 multiple-division scrums.

Hmm. Interesting Lion in the Stars. Will give it a look.

Wow! Thanks Micheal. My idea is to transplant them for my miniatures.
