So I could no longer resist the urge to buy the Khurasan bug deal. So now I need a set of rules that can handle my scenario for 4 Dropships with some 20 figs each versus some 100 bugs (recycling of course). Thinking of Mongoose Starship troopers, if it can handle that many figs. Open to other rules, as long as they can handle 4 players and this size game in 3-4hours tops. |

Definitely not what your asking for but FUBAR one page rules can be bent to suit almost anything. But it's not out of the box. I love it easiest game to play no headaches. |

Mike, I have sent you a set of rules called 'Infestation Report' which I wrote a couple of years ago. See if they help at all. |

We have been playing Bug Hunts using the Gruntz rules. Written for 15mm, but With a bit of modification (ranges, etc) they can be played with 25mm which we are doing. Getting more use out of the SST Bugs. Yes we also play using the Mongoose rules which work just fine. |

Swatters, D6 Junkie. Swatters most definitely. |

Actually FUBAR has stats and rules for bugs. I think that even recycling casualties, you're going to need more bugs… :-) I am in now way financially affiliated with Khurasan except as a very satisfied customer… |

Swatters is by Ganesha games, so it's very cheap to try out. & they have specific stats for all the common bugs & even I think some of Khurasan's figures. |

I use The Sword and the Flame, which is a colonial ruleset, but adapts just fine with minimal tinkering. I use human and humanoid types as British and Colonial troops and hordes of bugs as tribal warriors. |

5150 has really good bug hunt rules. |

I would recommend 5150 as well. BWW |

Tomorrows War would be another good choice. Sound like a fun project! |

Tomorrow's War even has a "bugs in the reactor" scenario, in addition to using Khurasan's Space Demons as an example of statting up models. Scenario is on p161, has 2x fireteams of 4 colonial security officers and a patrol vehicle, plus 3 squads of 9 Legion Etrangere on foot (Team leader plus 2x fireteams of 4) versus 40 regular space demons, an Alien King, and an Alien Queen. There are also 30 colonists to evacuate in that scenario. |

I second Swatters. And I think you can get the old THW's Bug Hunt for free. 8) |

I believe Swatters even has the parasachnids statted out! |

No experience with the others but 5150 is great for bugs, though its more starship troopers than aliens. |

THW's Bugs! is simple and fun. And the 5150 iteration is quite cool. How fiddly/realistic/what level of detail do you want? |

StarGrunt II could work, too. You'll have to write rules and stats for the bugs. It won't be difficult to generate stats for the drop ship. Divide the troopers into maybe 3 squads of 6 and team of 2 for the platoon leader and assistant or commo. Have fun! |
