Very nice but too large.

See, the archers exemplify my problem with weirdly posed fantasy "army" unit miniatures. I like the Aztec feel of these minis, and I like the basic design of the archers, and I actually like the regimented look of units of identical minis. But I have zero interest in a unit of archers in which each mini is stepping down off a large rock.

@jpattern2: Originally, the "Elite Archer" was sculpted as a personality figure, thus the terrain base as opposed to the basic ruin base of the rank & file. In fact, only the spear Amazons are generic troop types. The "Heavy Warriors" are actually an Amatzl Captain, and the Temple Guard is a personality figure as well.

I can only assume that AMG is hoping to make sales to those people who want an Amazon army but who have no interest in Shadowsea.

While I've yet to paint any of mine, I do have these figures and rather like them.

The mini's do not look bad…., but over $ 10,- for one miniature or $65 USD, for a single pose unit of 10 mini's is way to expensive.

I prefer my amazons from Shadowforge, Eureka and Maidenhead

Dear Armand.

No seriously! I just finished my new Ancient Rules called "honey I Sacraficed the kids!" which depicts the ancient world as seen through the lens of the Hollywood Motion Picture Camera ! They'd fit right in high stepping and kick-stepping behind the star of the show the Temple Priestess!

Four different types-- good for four shows!

Game brought to you by C.B. Demille!

Temple by the Night they raided Minsky's.
