We played a really interesting game last night in our ongoing campaign from the 29, Let's Go Pint Size Campaign. The US player was armed to the teeth, the German player with just the boots he stood up in, but it played out very differently to what one might expect.

Here's the report:

Here are a couple of snaps.

The bridge at Isigny is just a couple of miles way, but will the men of the 175 Infantry get there in time? It's all in the balance.

How many more tries do the GIs get to take the bridge?

Very cinematic. Looks like a lot of fun.

Vincent, they need to do it ASAP. The Germans are fighting a delaying action while their Pioneers attempt to construct new positions along the Aure River to block the link-up between Omaha and Utah. For the US forces, the bridge at Isigny is key to spoiling that plan.

The bridge is mined and ready to be destroyed, but the 352nd Division are still attempting to withdraw units back across the bridge, especially their artillery units.

At the moment the German player has lost contact with their HQ so they have no idea how this is progressing, and if I post it here that may spoil things for them, suffice to say this is going to the wire!

Great read, thanks! And my compliments on the figures as well, very nicely done.
