I had two nearly finished LOA armies Jacobite and Williamite they were bought in the '90s from Essex. Inspired by Piquet's FOB I decided to finish the job. I searched the internet to see what was available and saw a review by Sir Bill late of this parish. It said Irregular's LOA range were the best Ian Kay had sculpted. That sounded encouraging but I was concerned they might not size well with my Essex who were missing pike stands or drummers and such like. Then I searched Ray's Don't Throw a 1 blog as he has loads of LOA stuff. Sure enough there were some Irregular Dragoon Horseholders and the size looked right. I took reciept of my Irregular order today (usual three day turnaround) and I'm happy to report the Essex and Irregular LOA figures are perfectly compatible. That's same base compatible if anyone was wondering. So if you fancy a go at the LOA check out Irregular. |

Yes, I've considered doing this period at various times, and having seen numerous photos and a sample figure, knew the Irregular figures for it are amongst the best. |
