Hi, Excellent! Particularly like the French vehicles as I have loads of WW2 French stuff (some of which also serves in my Romanian army) and the rail-guns are just fabulous! These days I'm more of a Napoleonics chap but your models have inspired me to get my 1940 French on the table for a change. Cheers, Paul |

I note your comments about the Leopold Railway gun having zero application on the table. I ran a fictional WW2 game some years ago based around a paratroop drop to take out one of these guns which was firing on the Normandy beachhead. Great game and I found an excuse to use the model on the tabletop. Regards |

Fun collection. Are you familiar with Early War Miniatures? Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |

Great stuff, thanks. I was about to buy the MMS Renault AGC but your comment on the solid windows has made me think twice. |

Thanks for the comments team. I suppose I was a little harsh on the rail guns and there probably are plenty of ways that they could feature in a game, perhaps as Broglie says as the objective for a raid. I haven't read anything about French rail guns being rounded up; most were behind the Maginot Line. |

Leland, I'm very familiar with the excellent range by Early War Miniatures, and have bought many models from them (and from Tom Tins before them). My post was not in any way designed to be exhaustive or complete; it was just the last few I had on the bench. |

ottenfeld, I've had models from MMS before where the windows were not solid so I'm not sure if I got a bad batch, although as all Citreons, Renaults and the Bedfords were solid I suspect they were as designed. Yes, there was much swearing and grunting drilling and filing them out. To be fair to the manufacturer I suppose that solid at least gives you the choice…. |

mgk, I'm easy. My own collection of Early War French includes everything from FAA to Pegasus Hobbies plastic infantry, HaT FT-17s rearmed with Reviresco Mle 31 machine guns and Reviresco Laffly S20TLs, to repainted die cast SOMUA S35s. Prior to Early War Miniatures, one couldn't be fussy. Leland R. Erickson Metal Express metal-express.net |
