I was watching a youtube video about Armypainter dip and the guy who made the video rigged up a gizmo to attach the figures to a power drill. Once he dipped the figure in the Armypainter he used the drill to shake the excess off. The figure came out surprisingly well.
He used a metal plate and a magnet. But it got me to thinking.
Does anyone make a drill bit that would clamp onto the bottom of a GW slotta based figure? Maybe like a claw?
Anything to hold the figure in place while the drill revolved.

I would really love to try this. Lots of inventive minds on TMP. What can you guys come up with?

Hot glue the figure to a roofing nail and hand twirl it. It will come out just as nice and not have a chance of flying off and breaking something. Just the thought of using a power drill for that makes my skin crawl.

Seems like an awful amount of trouble.

I dip & then simply use 'Kitchen towels' (absorbent paper) to soak up the excess. It seems to work for me.

Probably used a Lathe Chuck jaws [http://www.amazon.com/Teknatool-Nova-Jaw-Set-25mm/dp/B0036B0RWG] & Collet Chuck.

Or something like this set: [ link ]

Solder an alligator clip to a drill bit?
