That's a great model. I think is shows the scale brilliantly. Too me that looks way smaller then the official 300 meters for the frigate. The falcon is 34 meters long. You can see it well here:

One thing I loved about the ship aesthetics of the original trilogy was the randomness. Look at all the stuff hanging off that ship; it's just totally cool. I wonder what all those things are that are lined up inside the "fin"; some sort of mission modules, perhaps?

I built this model from scratch about a year after Empire Strikes Back came out. I only had a couple of blurry images from a fan magazine to go from, but I think it came out pretty well. It's about 6" long.
