I was wondering if there are any TO&E for Chinese forces? From Cold War era to current would be fine.

O8 is now doing modern Chinese vehicles in 3mm so I wanted to start building a force as he adds to it.

Funny, I was just wondering the same thing?

Not the most current but until you find otherwise the structure should hold up. Just substitute vehicles based on the modernization cycle

Probably a waste of time, since Xi said just yesterday that China will not use military force to impose their will on anyone.

So, does that mean Tibet and others will be freed?

Of course Mako. Expect an announcement momentarily.

Tibet isn't held by military force.

It's held by superpower level diplomacy, historical claims as well as economic integration and internal immigration.

The economic integration is how Taiwan has effectively been subsumed into China too. Taiwan is so dependent on economic relationship with mainland China that it would collapse if that relationship was cut.

I'm always amazed at Chinese slyness when it comes to diplomacy. Their progress in Africa is a great example of that.

Meanwhile we Westerners talk and occassionally bomb. The Chinese get you in with dollars and investments.

Even here in Australia, we are heavily reliant on China for trade. US is our number 1 "friend", but actually acts against us in the economic space (e.g. agricultural exports). China meanwhile pumps billions into our economy.

Yet Australia would go to war with China in a heartbeat if the Americans were there, even if the US was launching a pre-emptive campaign with no Chinese aggression.

But then Australia would bomb Australia if the Americans were.

'Tibet isn't held by military force.

That's all true. And behind all of those things, are men with guns. And if it was not for those men with guns, I strongly suspect that Tibetans with sharp sticks would slaughter or eject every last Han in Tibet before you can say 'Buddhism is a religion of peace.'

I think it is a little early to say Taiwan has already been subsumed into China too. They are certainly becoming more and more economically integrated, but last I checked, their leaders are still elected by Taiwanese people, not appointed from Beijing, and all the Taiwanese people I know want it to stay that way.

And yes, money always talks. But the final argument of Kings still goes 'bang'.

And people wonder why we have threads asking where to go to actually discuss modern-period gaming, instead of TMP.

Take it it the Ultramodern board guys.

But this is … ahh … I did not see the cross-post to cold war. My apologies.
