Does anyone have a guide for 15mm basing for Battlesystem (2d Ed)? I'm thinking 1/2 inch (13mm)per human sized figure and working from there |

2nd Ed. BattleSystem was based on 25mm figures. I would divide 15mm / 25mm = 0.6. Multiply 0.6 x Standard Base Sizes in the book, and use those. If the 60% rule turns out to be too small, then adjust upwards to fit the figures. Just make sure you are consistent in your base sizes. If you look at the book's base size charts, you can get a good idea of ratios, and use that to determine what sizes you need. The thing to remember, is that the base size ratios are actually important! I based my earliest Goblin figures on 25mm bases, same as Humans. This actually hurt the Goblins as they had the same frontage as Humans, so they lost Attack Dice due to being on over-sized bases… Now I mount my Goblins on 20mm bases, and when I line up 10 Humans, against Goblins who actually span the entire length of the Human frontage, the Goblins have around 12 figures, to the Humans' 10 figures, which means that the Goblins get to roll 12 AD against the Humans' 10 AD. It does make a difference to the Goblins ability to fight! Cheers! |

I went with .5 inch for Human sized, 1 for Ogres, .75 wide for Cavalry and anything bigger gets what fits. |
