Hi everyone!
I just wanted to let you know I finished some 28mm Polish 10th Cavalry Brigade miniatures last night. Come by my Blog and check out the images.

Good stuff! One of my favorite units and pay of the war. I have a platoon of those painted up as well. I also use my French platoon to fight the battles of this unit in France 1940.

Nice work!

Just one historical point, only officers and NCO's actually wore black leather coats, Infantry soldiers of this unit wore Wz36 greatcoats which were made of material and coloured green .

From what I understand, motorcycle troops also wore the black leathers as well.

Yes Pizza, you're right, privates of the Reconnaissance Motocycle Platoon did wear leather coats but thats just one platoon in an entire battalion. The same goes for the Moto platoons in the two Mounted infantry Regiments, although even some of some these wore Greatcoats according to the photographic evidence. Painting 10th brigade units in leather coats is fairly common practice amongst wargamers unfortunately . I can see why they do it as it looks cool but its not correct.

I'm getting ready to paint some of these guys up in 15mm scale. I've got the True North Figures, but I may mix in a few of the Forged in Battle ones as well. From the looks of the casts (at least on the True North ones) it looks like I can get away with painting up most of the infantry either as a black coat or a greatcoat. What I can't find is a reliable rank structure within the Brigade…

If I had a standard platoon, how many privates, how many NCO's? Did a private or an NCO run the BAR and/or the ATR?
