Ran Belchite with Bolt Action and 8 great players. We got through 12 turns and it moved pretty quickly. 18 Republican dice and 12 for the Nationalists and we drew two at a time. If opposing players wanted to give an order in the same area a simple roll off decided priority. If rolls were equal results were simultaneous. Victory objectives were to eliminate 50% of the opposing players units. Nationalists won 9-5 and as you can see it was very close. Nationalists were all Veteran, Republican all Regular to keep the game as streamlined as possible. I never have time to take pictures of my games so I am indebted to Dante Rohr for taking these during the game.
Cold Wars game will be the Siege of the Alcazar. Best DM |

Excellent stuff -I'm revving up to create some stuff for a University City battle in 20mm (however don't hold your breath…!!!) |

I passed by this game several times. It looked great. Everyone playing in the game appeared to enjoy it. I don't know if it received an award, but I would have voted for it if I had been a judge. SCW is a great period, but under-represented at HMGS conventions. I hope you will run it again in the future. |
