Finally I found the time to take some decent images of one of the first armoured cars that took part in the Great War one hundred years ago.

With much haste between thirty and forty armoured cars were build at the "Minerva" factory in Antwerp before the Germans overtook the city.

The way they were put to use could be considered the first "modern" use of armoured cars in a war. Mostly they went out in search of German scouts, conducted hit and run actions and harassing the Germans wherever they could. They sometimes participated in actions alongside mobile "carabinier" cyclists companies or even armoured trains.

I think, as I live in the States, I am going to hold off ordering your figs until the German Jagers are available so I can place one larger order…international shipping costs and all. But you have the best looking Great War figures out there, no matter what the scale!

I will be ordering some of this.

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated.
At the moment German jägers are on the workbench, so are Belgian carabineers.
