Can anyone recommend a 15mm equivalent or proxy for the UNSC Mantis walker from the Halo games?

What about this, similar, maybe a little heavier though.

They're a bit too bulky and too short (I have these). The GZG Crusty small walkers have the right general look but are similarly too short. Ideally, they should be around 2" in height to match the unit's description of being around 20' tall.

Paulson Games' Mechafront, their light mechs have a similar feel.

What about Paulson Games' mechs? The raptor is about 65mm tall: mechafront.com/15mm.html

Damn you McWong, look like my kids aren't waking me early enough!

I agree on the upper body resembling mecha front….the legs on this guy seem spindly. (Thin).

On a side note I cannot wait for Paulson games to release the black frost faction mechs…. I didn't back the kickstarter, but have two of his nor arm mechs they are wonderfully cast.

Take look here…

The NorArm Raptor looks like a good basis to begin with. The weapons packs give you enough options to get the load out looking right.

Or you could just read Trojan Points' post….

Missing the Mechafront kickstarter is one of my bigger regrets this year.

The Goshawk Beta with the weapons reversed should work pretty well, even if a little on the large side.

Thanks!

I like the separation of the missile tubes, looks good

AVAMANGO16 Nov 2014 10:32 p.m. PST

Its a bit chunkier but how about the Reaper CAV Gnomic mecha, i think it would make a good proxy and you can swap the arm weapons over and opt to replace the rotary canon arm for something else if you order it from Reapers Robot supply deport. link / Reaper CAV miniatures page. link :) Zac

I agree with AVAMANGO. CAV has a number of mechs that would fit the bill.

Indeed, with all the goodness being released in 15 mm you tend to forget about all this other stuff. I love this mech in particular as it makes a perfect AI support platform.

What about the MicroPanzer Amakudari walkers. I'd think the light class hunter would work.

I have a couple of the Amakaduri models; very nice models, but not even close to the same aesthetic.
