Very interesting….if you choose to wargame the Bretagne Front of the revolts.."Chouannerie"..you can even associate to those armed peasants/armed civilians minis also some other stypes equipped with British style uniforms and with the support, as at Quiberon Bay, of uniforms regular Emigrés units also equipped by British and the presence of guns from the Royal Navy. |

"armed female civilians, rather the exception I presume" I imagine so although maybe defending a farm etc. I understand it was frowned on to have men of the cloth fighting in the front line but I expect there will be a few of those in wargame units as well!! Brutal times -mind you I also game the Spanish Civil War… |

a fire arm was usual too valubable to give in untrained hands, I deem it exceptional to have more than a few women armed with those. |
