I may have to send a few bases of painted and based 6mm figures (Napoleonics on 60mm x 30mm bases) by post soon: does anyone have any suggestions as to the best ways of packing them for posting?

use rice or a small very dry cereal product (Quinoa
might suffice, but it is expensive).

I simply wrap them in bubble-wrap – enough to put about 3 layers all round. If the bases have pikes or lances I weave a paper support through the figures to stop pressure bending them too much.

After that I pack with a generous amount of shredded paper around them.

I've been sending them that way for some time now with very few (and only minor) problems – even as far away as Thailand (from the UK).
