MASSIVE STARSHIP BATTLES!.WHAT RULES THERE ALL TO COMPLEX FOR REALLY BIG GAMES? WELL (not shouting please just look). I've been busy Scratchbuilding , converting and casting my own design's for years, In 1/3788 scale it dosn't take alot to accomplish.(1"= @ 100M) I have built a massive collection of just Star trek ships let akone other themes ,BSG, STARWARS even my own weird space Krakens. I got so fed up with the Game systems available being over complex when what we wanted was massive battles with hundreds of ships so I created my own rules with a group of freinds helping playtesting. Have a look at my flker for so ideas of ranges that mach scale too. link link see what you think. |

Andrew, Please see my comments in your product announcement page. I would love to give your game a spin, but 21.00 is a lot of money to drop on something that I have little information aside from you can use lots of ships and it plays relatively quickly. How about an AAR or a sequence of play or a ship card or something. |

I also commented that you need to provide more information. Looking at your site I see that you are the fellow I sent questions about your miniatures and never received a response. Good bye. |

To be fair, there is a Basic Edition, about two dozen pages going by the sample PDF, for just over 5 US Dollars at present. And although 21 US Dollars may be a lot for a PDF, it's about £13.50 GBP, only a few quid more than a printed copy of the 'Engage' rules from Red Wyvern Games, for example. Lets give Andrew a chance here folks. You can't fault his enthusiasm, considering the work he's put into his Trek miniatures. I've seen these before, over on one of the Trek Yahoo Groups. They are gorgeous. Andrew, come on by and convince us some more about your rules, Sir! Sell us on its virtues over other sets. Mark |

£10.99 GBP GBP ($20ish) is about average for a new release Pdf edition, The outlay is minimal since I will not be charging for new editions, as each book grows or is redeveloped into new editions purchasers will get the update free! (so IF YOU buy 1st edition OF ANY of my volumes you get 2nd,3rd etc free! via Wargame Vaults updating system). If you buy the basic version you will be offered a 25% ($5 @ cash back) discount on the upgrade to the Standard edition, Gamer's who support my project at each step will also be offered a 25% discount on each new Supplement that's released too! and active contributors will get 40% off. the Standard edition represents about 120 pages of rules or so plus references, about 20 pages of templates and counters to print so the game can be played without miniatures initially. Full color templates for Asteroid fields, Comets, Planets, Moons, a Gas Giant (Jupiter), Nebulas and Dust clouds too. When my FLEETDOCK13 site is re-launched there will be a free fleet design App/Program for PC to down load that will allow easy printing of fleet sheets incorperating the vessel design rules from the standard edition, Until then there are Word/Xml sheets included with the rules. The Basic version is the game mechanics without any complex stuff, for £3.50 GBP GBP ($5ish). I was going to do vessels for the game and have done some as demonstrated in the Book but little interest so far. Until I get some idea of interest there is no point in the outlay to do metal or resin except in very limited runs. So far as Minatures go in general though I do do CAD for PC games, see Fleetdock13 If you played SFC1-3 you will know all my TOS models I'm sure. So what I plan, if I get interest is to release the models through SHAPEWAYS as 3D Printed versions. I will also be releasing Articles on modelling SF minis which will be posted to Fleetdock13. why is Fleetdock13 now inactive well SFC ran its course and I left it as was so people could download the models FOC. now its just a place archive but the server all the files were on was shutdown. the new FLEETDOCK13 site will have a link from my on wargame Vault and will go up in December 2014 I hope. THE game is totally Generic, Although in the STANDARD EDITION there are 5 races none are Star trek, Any Star Trek, BSG, OR Star Wars based fleets stats will be released as FREE THEMED Fleet list updates in a series of web articles, I'm not trying to compete with any other POP SF themed games but surfice to say our test games have had around 60-80 SHIPS PER Fleet so if you want to play an EPIC SCALE Star ship battles this is the game for you!
(ps I already have 6 Trek Theme fleets stated up from our play test games!) |

I have many scratch built masters but as yet have not gone further yet, afterall thers only so many hours a day. |

Andrew I really like your stuff I wish I could get a D-16 and D-4 from you these would help out with my Four Years Wars Campaign me and a friend are trying to work out. Also I really like your Doomsday Machine as well but does it light up:)? I have a Doomsday Machine as well which a friend made some time back and it lights up it might not be as big as you have but to me it's spot on with the colors and I'm very pleased with it. Plus I'll be running a game with it at a local gaming convention next year. |

Andrew that is a great guide. I did find the font hard to read. I had the same problem with your website. Keep up the good work. |
The Triffid | 19 Nov 2014 7:24 a.m. PST |
For Anyone Who finds it The fonts hard to read I will update the Pdf files with a printer friendly No watermark Version of all the books and List's once I have them all ready over the next week or so. I'm just Jiggling a few Stats for some of the themed fleets and will be posting more after the weekend. If its due to print size I can increase it but that will add about 20 pages for each step up. Please let me know via the Email on Fleetdock13 (see the first contact page) link Cheers |
