I recently decided to finish a modern USMC platoon in 28mm and ordered two M240 teams and two SMAW teams from Eureka. I just got the email today that it was shipped and that the shipping was lower than what I expected from the automatic billing. I had to sit back and think why. Oh yeah I only bought eight figures. from Australia to North America. Usually, my postie is swaybacked from delivering my toy soldiers. I shudder to think what has become of me of late? Am I finally showing fiscal restraint or am I actually completing one project? |

You obviously weren't thinking correctly….please go back and "double check" your TO&E and I will think you will find that you are "short" a few figs…(possibly 1-2 battalions worth as well as some support weapons, and Command and Support elements)… You need to make this up asap…or else your troops on the ground will suffer from the manpower shortage… |

As long as your overall lead pile is in a healthy state, you should be ok. Edit: healthy = big (of course) |

So how much more could you have gotten with the same postage? When I get things sent to the Beautiful Czech Republic, I always make sure to max out the postage band I am in, cause if you donīt you are stealing from your armies! |

Murphy I don't think I have to worry about numbers. In fantasy, I have a 40k army of 2,500 goblins. Yes, I said for 40K. In historical I have a 28mm battalion of 600 commie chinese for Korean War. That's one to one. I figured that I'ld stick to a platoon of modern USMC. A HQ group of three or four figures, three 13 man squads, a M240 det of two guns , a SMAW det of two launchers. For a platoon how big is a marine public relations squad? |

I hear you. My purchases are much smaller than they were. Gone are the days that I would paint up two armies, order hundreds of figures at one time and drop $500 USD at a shot. Don't want to spend the time painting, don't want to spend that much money and don't want to leave a massive mountain of lead when I die. |

It is OK as long as you really didn't need all of them. |

On the bright side, your prepping and painting queue is far smaller than it could have been. |

You do realize that you'll die when you no longer have minis to paint, right? |

My, my what what were you thinking! Wait….oh yes these aren't Napoleonic's. Of which there is never enough. I recently ordered some figures to finish my Calpe Prussian Napoleonic army, 6 guns and 3 figures……it's the smallest amount I've ever ordered. Mind you there are already 1000+ painted or in the Que. See head thumping on desk, . |
